Sorento Hybrid questions & answers
No. The Sorento Hybrid uses a turbocharged petrol engine and electric motor, with the battery charging as you drive and brake. You refuel with petrol as usual, without needing to plug in.
The electric motor assists the petrol engine, and energy recovered when slowing down and braking helps recharge the battery. This reduces the engine’s workload and helps save fuel, particularly in stop-and-go traffic.
Routine servicing is similar to a petrol vehicle, including engine-oil and filter changes, alongside checks of the hybrid system. The Sorento Hybrid comes with an 8-year / 160,000 km battery warranty and a 5-year / 100,000 km vehicle warranty.
